College of Dupage-Theatre Assistant
 
 

Construction, painting and setup of the state scenery and props.
 

Hanging, focusing and operation of theater lighting equipment.
Setup and operation of theater sound equipment.
General maintenance of shop and stage areas.

REQUIRED:

THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.

If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Use of ordinary and power tools.
Previous experience in technical theater helpful.

 

Hand tools, power tools, hydraulic lift, lighting/sound instruments and computerized light board.

Heavy lifting, exposure to heights.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Evening and weekend hours involved in productions.

 

This student position requires the following test/tests:  Physical

$8.50/hour
